Initiative "wheelday. development moves!"
The Institute for Environment, Peace and Development (IUFE) awards a prize to projects and initiatives which foster inclusion and accessibility for people with a disability in Austria and worldwide. Individuals, groups, school classes, associations and organisations with national (Austrian) or international activities or project ideas in the year 2020 can participate in the Wheelday Youth Challenge.
Submission: 4th May - 27th September 2020.
The framework of the Wheelday Youth Challenge is the Agenda 2030 and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals ("leave no one behind"). Activities in the context of development cooperation are welcome. Generally, the operating language is German; if required, English is possible as well. Here you can find all the information in german language.
C R I T E R I A
The Wheelday-Jury under the direction of Franz-Joseph Huainigg awards in accordance with the following criteria:
- thematic relevance (inclusion, self-determiniation and/or accessibility)
- creativity and innovation
- range of influence
- completeness and correctness of the submission
S U B M I S S I O N
To participate, please send the information as follows:
- announcement/notice previously of your project (e.g. initiative, event,...)
- photos of your project
- report (brief description with date, location, numbers of participants, target group, goals and benefits of the projects)

From 4th May to 27th September 2020 you can submit your project in the category "national" (Austria) or in the category "international". Additionally you have the chance to win the community-award. For the community-award our facebook-community are going to vote one winner-project out of all submitted projects on www.facebook.com/wheelday in October 2020.
W I N N I N G
All submitted projcets are going to presented on our website and on our facebook-channel getting visibility and range of influence. Both winner-projects ("national" and "international") and the community-award are going to receive 300 EUR at the presentation of awards in Vienna in November 2020.
